Estrogen Dominance
At some point all of us will experience hormone imbalance, leading to sleep issues, mood changes, irritability and fatigue. Don't let your hormones affect your life in a negative way. Estrogen dominance is a real issue. We are exposed to so many estrogenic compounds in our environment. This can lead to an imbalance in the ratio of our progesterone and estrogen.
Excess estrogen relative to progesterone can cause increased irritability, crying, anger and more. We don't always need prozac! You may just need to address what is going on hormonally. This can happen during menopause or any other time in our lives.
Low Progesterone
Progesterone is a beautiful hormone. Designed perfectly to balance our estrogen. Progesterone is the "calming" part of our hormone system so you can imagine how you may feel when it is low. Heavy, painful periods can also be related to too much estrogen and not enough progesterone.
There are herbs you can take to help with progesterone levels. You can also use natural progesterone cream if you levels are low. It is best to test levels 5-10 days before your period. I have developed a protocol for raising progesterone levels naturally involving B vitamins, herbs and progesterone cream if needed.
